Introducing the Delilah maxi dress in a gorgeous aqua blue with gold Kari hand stamped on the final layer, inspired by floaty 70s boho smock dresses.

We loved our print in our AW Delilah dress so much, that we have created a summer version of Delilah, she is a true dream to wear and a very special piece. If you have a wedding to go to or even if you are a bride and would like something different and unique -why not get married in Delilah .

The beautiful vintage style dress features a quilted bodice with a round neckline with buttons running threw the length of the dress, unbutton a few buttons for a relaxed look ,she also has a long free flowing skirt with a unique border frill detail and balloon 3/4 length sleeves. Complete with optional slip (to be worn with or without), plus optional belt and internal side pockets.

Delilah has been exquisitely hand crafted and hand blocked printed in a intricate floral design and then printed again with a touch of gold Kari (to add a touch of sparkle) on a premium cotton voile with gentle eco dyes, she truly is a work of art.

Block- Print

Our Block Print collection are all made from 100% Organic Cotton.

Made by skilled artisans which pass down this craft from generation to generation, we have used a form of Bagru printing which is a type of hand block printing which uses vegetables, mud and sand etc to create natural pigments which are kinder to the environment.

Many of the dyes require months of curing for the desired colour to develop.

Weather ,water quality ,changes in the crop and also the amount of sunlight all affect the outcome of the colour.

Due to the nature of the block there may be slight imperfections in the fabric.

We see these impressions as the story of the block and hand and celebrate it at Pearl and Bertie.

Care Instructions

Gentle machine wash or hand wash: Wash in cold water with mild detergent. Turn the garment inside out to protect the block print design. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.

Cool iron on reverse: If needed, use a cool iron (low setting) on the reverse side of the fabric to protect the printed design. Iron while slightly damp for best results.

Do not tumble dry: Never use a dryer. Instead, gently squeeze out excess water and hang to dry or lay flat on a clean towel. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent color fading.

Store flat: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the vibrant colors of the block print.

Sustainability

We are deeply committed to sustainable and ethical block printing practices. Our block-printed garments are created using traditional techniques that minimize environmental impact compared to industrial printing methods. The natural dyes and eco-friendly processes used in our production support artisanal communities and preserve traditional textile craftsmanship.

Each piece is produced ethically with fair labor practices, ensuring that the artisans who create these beautiful designs are valued and compensated fairly. By choosing our block-printed pieces, you're supporting sustainable fashion, cultural heritage, and the livelihoods of skilled craftspeople around the world.

The unique variations in each block-printed design are a testament to the handmade nature of these garments, making them truly one-of-a-kind pieces with a story to tell.
